Is there really ever a true day off in farming ? ... no I didn't think so either -- lots to get done in a short amount of time.
We are working Cattle with the help of our friends, Bryan & Sarah - we pulled off 30 of the girls to start the artificial insem process .. our goal for the 2026 calf crop is to have several of the same genetics to hold back in our own heifer replacement program.
There's also a ton of lime to spread and of course working up dirt is one of my absolute favorite things to do ...

Fling'in Lime on Alfalfa | Chronicles...
Back in the fields - finally ... we are flinging lime with the Salford BBI Liberty Cart over some of the alfalfa ground.. Its been a pretty wet spring which is a blessing because we've been so dry for a while -- but we need to get into the fields ...
