This isn’t our usual dairy content, but it’s a chore that needed to get done. 🌲💪
Drew and Emmy headed into the woods to clear fallen trees using Drew’s new-to-him diesel John Deere Gator and their Stihl chainsaws to get the job done. At one point the chain slipped off the smaller chainsaw, and there were a few tight spots getting the logs pulled out, but they powered through and finished the job.
Wade tagged along and was a big help stacking the cut logs, and he made sure to have plenty of fun doing it too.
Homeschooling and farming looks a little different for everyone. Around here, some days it’s books and lessons, and other days it’s chainsaws, teamwork, and learning out in the woods. No two days are ever the same, and that’s part of the adventure.

And just when we thought the week couldn’t get sweeter — our Holstein Crickette gave birth ...
