2026 All-Iowa Showdown | Iowa’s Top Youth Swine Exhibitors Compete in Oskaloosa
Pork Industry News is in Oskaloosa, Iowa, for the 2026 All-Iowa Showdown, where some of Iowa’s top youth livestock exhibitors come together to compete with their champion market hogs and breeding gilts.
The All-Iowa Showdown is a statewide, invitation-only livestock show featuring exhibitors who earned their opportunity to compete through qualifying showdown events across Iowa. These young exhibitors represent countless hours spent in the barn feeding, training, caring for and preparing their show pigs for competition.
The 2026 Market Hog qualifiers include KentLee Loynachan, Kaitlynn Lawson, Sydney Matthias, Ella Regelstad, Landrey Peterson, Brendan English, Lila Spencer, Anna Slagle, Leyton Elmquist and Ella Weisinger. They represent qualifying events including the South Central Iowa Showdown, Northwest Iowa Showdown, Northeast Iowa Showdown, North Central Iowa Showdown, Heartland Throwdown, Central Iowa Showdown, Best of the Southwest Shootout, Best of the Best, Best in the West and Southeast Iowa Showdown.
Competing with Breeding Gilts are Kinsey Coffey, Jaelyn Hartnett, Weston Everman, Landon Nelson, Tessa Slaybaugh, Delaney Good, Ada Lund, Greta Cooper, Jaiden Beeson and Jase Heindel.
Evaluating the swine competition is Garrett Weldon of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Weldon grew up raising Duroc and crossbred show pigs and competed in livestock judging at Northern Oklahoma College. His background includes working with show pig families across the country, serving as a Feed Ambassador for Lindner Show Feeds and managing the Queen’s Pig Sale in Oklahoma.
For these exhibitors, the All-Iowa Showdown represents much more than winning a banner. Youth livestock projects teach animal care, swine nutrition, livestock evaluation, responsibility, showmanship and agricultural leadership while helping develop the next generation involved in Iowa agriculture and the pork industry.
