The National Pork Producers Council is celebrating one of its own this week.
Dr. Jeremy Pittman — a respected pork industry leader and current NPPC board member — has been inducted into the Virginia Livestock Hall of Fame.
Dr. Pittman joins nearly 100 influential figures recognized for their outstanding contributions to the livestock industry.
NPPC CEO Bryan Humphreys says,
“Dr. Pittman’s leadership of the U.S. swine sector’s approach to animal welfare and health — on both the national and state level — is unmatched.”
He added that this honor is well-deserved recognition for Pittman’s long-standing dedication to animal care and science-based leadership.
As NPPC’s top veterinary expert and chairman of the Animal Health and Food Safety Policy Committee, Dr. Pittman helps guide the organization’s efforts to strengthen animal welfare and disease prevention across the pork industry.
The Virginia Livestock Hall of Fame, established in 2009, honors individuals who have left a lasting impact on animal agriculture.
It’s supported by the Virginia Pork Council, Cattlemen’s Association, Dairymen’s Association, Sheep Producers, and the Virginia Horse Council.
Congratulations to Dr. Jeremy Pittman on this remarkable achievement — and thank you for your continued service to the U.S. pork industry.
