Bad, bad cows! Apparently, we had some adventurous cattle who decided not only to move themselves to different paddocks but also clear across the creek! You know, just because they felt like it.
Thank goodness they're pretty calm and spoiled, because as soon as they heard the mixer wagon fire up, they were high-tailing it back across the creek and racing each other to get back where they belonged. Nothing motivates cattle quite like the sound of feeding time!
While Jason fixes the downed hot wire that let our escapees out, I'm putting out Purina Wind and Rain mineral to keep the herd happy and healthy. Just another day of problem-solving on the farm - fixing fences, chasing cattle, and making sure everyone's fed and back where they belong.
If you've ever had cattle that think the grass is greener on the other side (literally), you know exactly what we're dealing with today!
